Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of ecommerce and advertising, offering digital display advertising solutions to help customers find and discover products. This role focuses on selling personalization technologies and driving sales across multiple platforms to mid-to-large brand and performance advertisers, with opportunities to grow and retain revenue from existing advertisers. A consultative selling style and understanding of media/marketing are advantageous for delivering strategic advertising solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Use influencing and relationship-building skills to prospect, penetrate, and develop executive-level relationships with clients, uncovering their business needs
  • Retain and grow revenue from existing advertisers
  • Drive deals to closure in a new business environment
  • Lead with data to influence decision-making and demonstrate how Amazon's products and tools can create relevant advertising solutions
  • Deliver the highest level of sales and customer service to clients
  • Utilize sales CRM to measure progress against sales activities and opportunities
  • Understand the e-commerce industry and competitive environment, including competitor product offerings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create and execute advertising plans for different types of businesses

A day in the life: GGS Accelerate Account Executives are responsible for daily/weekly call and opportunity inputs by customizing Amazon Ads recommendations to grow advertisers’ businesses on and off Amazon using in-console self-service solutions. This includes understanding Amazon Ads reporting, performance metrics, and mapping ad revenue to quota responsibilities.

Team and Scope

The GGS Accelerate Growth team manages small to medium-sized businesses, focusing on growing and activating advertisers across our product suite. AEs partner with Ad Success, Seller/Vendor teams, and product teams to deliver new or existing solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of selling advertising or advertising-like services experience
  • Experience using analytical, marketing, and productivity tools including Oracle Business Intelligence, Salesforce or other CRM tools, Microsoft OneNote and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Bachelor's degree or above

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of selling advertising or advertising-like services experience
  • Experience building new customer relationships
  • Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering with people at all levels within an organization
  • Experience in marketing, brand advertising, media sales or online advertising work and close work with senior advertisers and agency stakeholders
  • Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package includes sign-on payments, RSUs, and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salary: USA, IL, Chicago - 62,000.00 - 108,500.00 USD annually
