Corporate Tax Manager
to lead taxation and compliance and planning for a publicly traded organization in the
Silver Spring, MD
area. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities for the Tax Manager include:
Manage federal/state income tax compliance and planning.
Oversee sales tax exemption certificates and address tax opportunities, incentives, and risks.
Support tax compliance for employee benefits, executive compensation, and payroll reporting.
Prepare/review annual income tax provisions per ASC 740 and other supporting documentation.
Conduct tax research and communicate findings to leadership.
Collaborate on tax strategy presentations for senior management.
Qualifications for the Tax Manager include:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field is required.
7+ years of tax experience, including state/local and indirect tax.
2+ years of managerial experience.
Experience working at a multinational corporation or regional/"Big 4" accounting firm and/or CPA licensure is strongly preferred.
Proven experience researching analyzing tax laws and regulations and documenting tax issues.
Compensation for the Tax Manager includes:
Salary Range: approximately $130,000 - $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience
