The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a dynamic ProServe Account Executive (PAE) to join our team at AWS. In this role, you'll engage new and existing customers in the Manufacturing space with transformative projects involving IT strategy, distributed architecture, and hybrid cloud operations. You will work closely with ProServe Cloud Architects, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to drive customer success and business growth. As ProServe’s customer-facing relationship owner, you’ll focus on understanding and defining business outcomes for customers, building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, creating proposals, and securing customer sign-off of SOWs. After project launch, you will stay connected with the customer to ensure delivery of the agreed customer business outcomes (CBO) as outlined in the SOW.
Your experience in selling services within the technology/consulting sector will help translate technical concepts into business value for customers. You will demonstrate proficiency in business development, sales methodologies, and CRM management, coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. PAE performance is measured against metrics including revenue, billable bookings, and customer satisfaction (CSAT).
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that helps customers realize desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, delivering offerings that help customers achieve outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also provide focused guidance through our global specialty practices across various solutions, technologies, and industries. AWS Global Services includes experts who help customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments, with a focus on innovative technologies including AWS Partners, AWS Sovereign Cloud, AWS International Product, and the Generative AI Innovation Center.
Key job responsibilities
Lead business outcomes by articulating accelerated customer outcomes through cloud transformation.
Execute long-term strategic customer transformation roadmaps with a Bias for Action to deliver results in ProServe and Platform bookings.
Develop a unified account plan and pursuit plan aligned with the AWS account team (direct sales).
Establish executive relationships across Business & Technology groups and sponsor programs at the executive level.
Build an internal network at AWS with key organizations: Account Team, Partner team, Global Services, Finance, Legal.
Serve as a strategic advisor with deep knowledge of the customer’s business and the cloud ecosystem.
Deliver on annual bookings, revenue, and customer satisfaction targets with deal structures aligned to customer outcomes and ProServe objectives.
Support scale through shared learnings and mechanisms across the ProServe team.
A day in the life
Lead business development by engaging CPG/Manufacturing customers and driving high-value engagements.
Establish executive relationships and become a strategic advisor with deep knowledge of the customer’s business and available technology solutions.
Collaborate with Amazon Global Sales (AGS) to ensure a coordinated approach for key accounts.
Create proposals, secure SOW sign-off, and ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor ongoing projects to ensure delivery of agreed CBOs and maximize revenue potential.
Advocate for customers while balancing AWS business objectives.
This customer-facing role may require up to 50% travel to customer sites.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of technology sales, or 5+ years of technology sales experience
Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
Experience with cloud technologies and IT strategies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of vendor management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with communication, presentation, and negotiation
Experience with C-level sales and strategic partnership building
Experience solving complex business challenges with financial models, analysis, and recommendations that impact business outcomes
4+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience, or AWS Professional level certification
Experience leading the design, build, and deployment of complex, reliable, scalable software solutions in production

Base salary range information is listed below. Your Amazon package includes sign-on payments, RSUs, and sales incentives.
