**Job Title**Human Resources Business Partner I**Job Category**Human Resources**Job Description**What starts with **YOU**, moves the world!Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented **Human Resources Business Partner I** based at our **Berea, Kentucky** facility.**What You Will Do:*** Implement effective and consistent delivery of Human Resources programs and services to organizational partners.* Provide expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition and management, compensation/benefits, etc.* Initiate and grow strategic relationships with functional/operational leaders through coaching, consultation, influence, and problem solving to execute organizational goals.* Partner with functional/operational client groups to support HR needs and avoid legal liability, poor hiring decisions, and employee retention issues through effective HR programs.* Provide advice in employee relations and in handling employee activities, concerns, and complaints, with guidance from the HR Manager.* Conduct investigations and presentations to legal with assistance.* Ensure the delivery of Hyster-Yale’s plans and programs through a clearly defined employee relations strategy focused on safety, capacity building, and employee relations.**Who You Are:*** A collaborative partner able to coach, influence, and problem solve to support organizational goals.* Skilled in maintaining strategic relationships with client groups and functional leaders.* Capable of handling employee relations issues and conducting investigations.* Able to support and assist in divisional projects as needed.* Committed to fostering a technically savvy, competent, and diverse workforce.* Able to effectively implement performance management processes and drive continuous improvement.* Experienced in developing and delivering training and development initiatives.**What You Will Need (Education):*** Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a Business-related field; *or* 7+ years’ experience with a related associate degree.* HR certification preferred.* Knowledge of federal/state/local employment laws and regulations including OFCCP, EEOC, Unemployment Insurance, and COBRA.* Experience in manufacturing, sales, or engineering preferred.* Minimum of 0–2 years of HR generalist experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 7+ years of related experience with an associate degree.* Formal education, training, and/or certifications in HR practices including employment, compensation, benefits, and administration.* Experience with business writing, computer/information systems, and presentation skills.**Skills, Experience & Abilities:*** Strong employee relations skills including conflict resolution, problem solving, counseling, and facilitation.* Effective partnership capabilities including coaching, influencing, problem solving, and consulting.* Leadership experience and business acumen gained through education, training, and on-the-job experiences.* Ability to assess and refine organizational structures and measure talent quality for client groups.* Experience designing training plans, conducting gap analyses, and coordinating technical and professional development.* Ability to prepare job descriptions, guide compensation decisions, and support equitable compensation practices.* Capability to lead continuous improvement, HR analytics, metrics, reporting, and HR-related project management.**Who we are:**Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks, aftermarket parts and technology and energy solutions that are transforming the way the world moves materials from Port to Home.
