Tax Director | Bay Area (San Francisco / East Bay / Peninsula)

We’re seeking a Tax Director to lead and grow the Bay Area tax practice for a progressive, growth-focused accounting group that’s redefining how firms scale and deliver exceptional client service.

This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing tax strategy, client relationships, and team development across multiple partner firms in Northern California. You’ll play a key part in expanding capabilities, driving growth, and shaping the future of an integrated tax platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and expand the Bay Area tax practice, driving growth and operational excellence
• Deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurs, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals
• Serve as a strategic advisor on complex matters such as structuring, transactions, and planning opportunities
• Collaborate with partner firms to unify processes, elevate service quality, and leverage technology
• Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation
• Work with leadership to implement data, analytics, and AI-driven improvements across the platform

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required
• 10+ years of progressive experience in business taxation (public accounting background preferred)
• Proven record in leading client engagements and growing a tax practice
• Expertise in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation
• Strong leadership, communication, and client advisory skills
