ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICER

NOTICE POLICE OFFICER APPLICATIONS MUNICIPALITY OF NORRISTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT Qualified persons are invited to apply for appointment as a Police Officer with the Municipality of Norristown Police Department. The Written Examination and Physical Agility Assessment shall be administered by the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2026. An application may be found online with the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities at https://www.montcopolicetest.com/. There is an application fee of $20.00. Application and payment of the fee must be submitted online in advance of the February 14, 2026 testing date. Requirements: U.S. Citizen; possess diploma from an accredited high school or GED certificate; at least 21 years of age prior to the application deadline; successful completion of Act 120 Training or be eligible for Act 120 certification; physical and mental fitness to perform full duties of a Police Officer; and possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to appointment. Applicants will be required to meet all Civil Service requirements. The schedule for the required Oral Examinations will be announced following the February 14, 2026 Written Examination and Physical Agility Assessment. Additional mandatory components of the complete hiring process include a background check and medical and psychological examinations.
