Commercial Real Estate & Development Associate (4–6+ Years) – Boston or Hartford
I’m working with a Vault-ranked Am Law 200 firm that is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate & Development Associate to join its active and growing practice in either
Boston or Hartford, Connecticut . This is a strong opportunity for a mid- to senior-level associate who wants sophisticated deal work, direct client exposure, and a highly collaborative platform.
The practice represents developers and borrowers in complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, public and private financings, zoning matters, and development projects. The team works with both local and national developers and is particularly active in the affordable housing development space. Associates in this group take on meaningful responsibility and are deeply involved in transactions from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Representing developers and borrowers in complex commercial real estate transactions
Handling acquisitions, financings, and zoning and development matters
Reviewing title and survey materials and addressing related issues
Drafting acquisition documents and reviewing a wide range of loan documents
Managing transaction workflow and working directly with clients and counterparties
Qualifications
Minimum of 4–6+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience
Strong real estate fundamentals, including title, survey, and loan documentation
Excellent academic credentials with strong writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills
Prior law firm experience required
Admission to the bar in the state of the primary office location is required
Compensation and Work Environment
Hybrid schedule, with 2–3 days per week in office
For Massachusetts-based candidates, target base salary range of $202,500–$217,500, with final compensation determined based on experience, class year, skills, and location
