Position: Multimedia Producer

Position Summary
The Multimedia Producer helps bring the Winsor story to life through photography, video, and social media. As a key member of the Communications team, the Multimedia Producer plays an essential role in showcasing the strength, spirit, and diversity of our community; uplifting the achievements of students and faculty; and supporting institutional priorities across admissions, advancement, academics, athletics, and the performing and visual arts. This role is ideal for a skilled visual storyteller with both creative vision and technical know‑how—someone who thrives in a fast‑paced school environment, enjoys working with students in grades 5–12, and is excited to capture the joyful rigor that defines life on Pilgrim Road. This is a 10.5‑month position reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications.
Essential Functions
Photography
- Serve as Winsor’s primary photographer, capturing images that reflect the school’s mission, values, and vibrant community.
- Shoot purpose‑driven photos for a wide range of needs,

- Official Winsor School, Winsor Alumnae, and Winsor Athletics social media channels
- The Winsor Bulletin
- Admission publications and recruitment materials
- Advancement stewardship, donor communications, and campaign storytelling
- Performing and visual arts productions, concerts, and exhibitions
- School traditions, assemblies, and major community events
- Edit and upload images quickly and consistently, maintaining high‑quality visual standards aligned with Winsor’s evolving brand.
- Manage, tag, and archive photos within Canto, Winsor’s digital asset management system.
Video Production
- Develop creative concepts for videos that elevate Winsor’s brand, celebrate student life, and support admissions, advancement, and campaign goals.
- Direct, film, and edit videos that capture the Winsor experience—from classroom moments and athletic highlights to arts performances, community member profiles, and feature stories.
- Produce content optimized for multiple platforms, ensuring accessibility and brand consistency.
Social Media Strategy
- Lead day‑to‑day strategy and content creation for Winsor’s social media channels, with a special focus on Instagram and short‑form storytelling.
- Stay fluent in platform trends and independent school‑aligned best practices.
- Propose innovative content ideas that increase engagement, highlight student voices, and extend Winsor’s reach.
- Monitor analytics and adjust strategy to meet communications goals.
Digital Asset Management
- Oversee the organization and accessibility of Winsor’s photo and video libraries through the school’s digital asset management (DAM) system.
- Develop and workflows for uploading, tagging, and archiving assets.
Collaboration and Campus Engagement
- Build warm, professional relationships with a broad range of constituents—including students, faculty, staff, coaches, parents, trustees, and the head of school.
- Welcome and incorporate constructive feedback from multiple stakeholders with professionalism and clarity.
- Support the Communications team as a flexible, proactive collaborator—jumping in on projects ranging from website updates to campaign deliverables.
- Contribute ideas, participate in brainstorming sessions, and help strengthen the school’s brand across platforms.
Other Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned by the head of school or supervisor
- Attends mandatory meetings,, but not limited to, opening and closing meetings, faculty/staff meetings, department meetings, and assemblies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in photography, film, communications, marketing, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in photography, video, and social media.
- Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, audio and lighting equipment, and industry‑standard editing software (Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Deep familiarity with Instagram and short‑form video trends.
- Exceptional organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and comfort working with students in grades 5–12.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and judgment.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working in independent schools, higher education, or mission‑driven environments.
- Familiarity with digital asset management systems.
- Experience with motion graphics or graphic design.
- Understanding of brand management, institutional messaging, and school communications cycles (academic year rhythms, annual fund, admissions season, campaign milestones).

Benefits included as of start date: medical, dental, vision, and 403 b retirement plan. Pay range is $65,000- $85,000.
