Job Description

The role of Associate Photographer is to produce high‑quality digital media for Homes.com and Apartments.com. You will use top‑tier Matterport Pro 3 equipment, a digital camera, and an iPad to create 3‑D virtual tours, floor plans, and photography for residential homes and apartments. Each photographer is assigned a core territory and is responsible for servicing clients in that area. Appointments are scheduled in advance; you will scan homes and apartments, capture virtual tours and floor plans, and photograph residences for marketing purposes.

Responsibilities

• Capture 3‑D virtual tours and footprints for Homes.com and Apartments.com.
• Create a portfolio of photographs that best feature homes and apartments.
• Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
• Communicate professionally with clients, sales associates, researchers, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks.
• While not on a residential site, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real‑estate data coverage.
• Identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to be photographed.
• Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.
• Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.
• Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Physical Requirements

Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing and walking up to 8 hours per day. Must lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds. Repetitive hand and arm movements are needed to type on a tablet or laptop and operate camera equipment. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying are necessary to perform job functions. Ability to work and drive outside during all seasons. The ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Real estate photography experience required.
• Professional photographer or recently earned degree in photography.
• Strong time‑management skills and detail orientation.
• Capability to accurately capture and enter data.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
• Enjoys working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Field experience preferred.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.
• Driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.

Compensation

The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus‑eligible. Bonuses are paid monthly and are based on performance against pre‑determined metrics. The role is hourly; the pay amounts to $50,000 annually, with opportunity for monthly bonuses.
