Our activities leaders conduct enjoyable recreation programs that keep residents energized, engaged and mentally stimulated. Previous experience working in activities with seniors is strongly preferred./li/ulpstrongShift: Hours Vary; Mix of Mornings

Evenings/strong/ppstrongElderwood Benefits as an Activity Leader (must qualify):/strong/pulli401K with Employer Matching/liliHealth Insurance and PTO Available/liliEmployee Referral Program/li/ulpstrongActivity Leader:/strong/pulliAssists the Director Activities in planning and carrying out the activity program./liliApproaches residents on assigned unit to plan individual recreational and social activities; reports to Director Activities about response and cooperation of resident./liliPrepares resident information for use by the Director Activities in care planning and documentation; writes progress notes as assigned./liliAssists in developing and maintaining good contact with community resources for the betterment of the activities program./liliResponsible for maintaining departmental inventory of equipment and supplies./liliMaintains attendance records and prepares other reports as required./li/ulpstrongActivity Leader:/strong/pulliMinimum 18 yrs. age required, HS diploma or equivalent required./liliValid New York Drivers License and clean driving record required./liliAbility to develop good relationships with staff, volunteers, families and visitors required./liliAbility to inspire and motivate others, create a warm and accepting climate for residents and be able to adapt and modify activities to meet their needs required./liliUnderstanding of the rights and needs of residents required./liliPhysical stamina for constant activity required./liliThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
