Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant
StaffBuffalo is working with a well-established, high-volume law firm in the Buffalo, NY area to hire a Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant. This is a full-time, fully on-site opportunity offering $25.00–$34.00/hour, depending on experience, with overtime potential and a comprehensive benefits package.
This role supports an extremely active commercial real estate practice where work volume fluctuates based on deal flow and market activity. It’s an excellent fit for someone who thrives in fast-paced, transactional environments, enjoys juggling multiple matters at once, and takes pride in keeping complex deals organized and moving forward.
You’ll work closely with attorneys handling sophisticated commercial property transactions and related corporate matters. Accuracy, organization, and strong follow-through are essential, as you’ll help manage large volumes of documentation, deadlines, and closing timelines across multiple deals.
Key Responsibilities
Support attorneys with commercial real estate transactions and related corporate matters
Assist with document preparation for commercial property sales, acquisitions, and closings
Draft, revise, format, and proofread legal documents, agreements, and closing materials
Manage and organize large volumes of transaction-related documentation
Track deadlines, closing timelines, and outstanding items across multiple active deals
Coordinate internally to ensure transactions move efficiently and accurately
Maintain well-organized electronic files and complete transaction records
Communicate professionally with attorneys and internal team members
Qualifications
Prior experience in commercial real estate and/or corporate legal environments preferred
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage fluctuating workloads in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
Comfort supporting transactional work and multiple concurrent matters
Strong typing and document formatting skills
Professional communication skills and dependable work ethic
Legal assistant experience strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay: $25.00–$34.00, depending on experience
Overtime potential
Full single health insurance coverage (firm contributes toward deductible)
401(k) eligibility after one year (6% of compensation)
Paid time off that increases with tenure
