
Annual Giving & Alumni Development Specialist

Job Summary
The Annual Giving & Alumni Development Specialist is responsible for planning, implementation, and reporting on all programs related to annual giving and alumni development for the West Georgia Technical College Foundation under the supervision of the Accountant, Foundation Finances and Scholarships.
Major Duties
Coordinate with the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and the Accountant, Foundation Finances and Scholarships to: • Develop and execute an annual employee giving campaign. • Create alumni programming in service to fundraising goals. • Oversee the alumni recognition program, including the selection of honorees, the presentation event, and ongoing development and stewardship of honorees. 75% • Work with and assist the College Events Manager to create and implement various events for donors and alumni, fundraising initiatives, and marketing efforts. 10% • Provide administrative support to the advancement department: coordination of location, catering, and packet preparation for Board of Trustees meetings; assist with Project Care applications; enter travel for the department; management of donor management software. 10% • Perform other duties as assigned. 5%

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (40 hours), mainly located at Adamson Square. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Thursday 8 am to 5:30 pm and Friday 8 am to 12 pm. This position occasionally requires some evening and weekend work.
Travel
Travel within and outside of the College service area and to other campus locations is required, as needed. This person will be required to complete mandatory training to operate a WGTC fleet vehicle.
