VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs are dedicated to supporting military-affiliated job seekers by providing professional career readiness and job placement services. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Outreach Specialist to join our team. This role is remote, with travel to job fairs and events up to 40% of the time; candidates must be located in the Dallas, TX area and be able to travel to military installations, hiring events, conferences, and partner activations nationwide. The Outreach Specialist, working collaboratively with key organizational staff, is responsible for expanding the reach, visibility, and impact of VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs. You will engage directly with transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, employers, community partners, and installation-level stakeholders to increase awareness of our programs and drive participation in our services. Travel up to 40% is expected; you will serve as an on-the-ground ambassador at military installations, events, conferences, community engagements, and partner activations. Responsibilities

Conduct in-person and virtual outreach to service members, veterans, and military spouses to promote VetJobs and Military Spouse Jobs programs. Represent the organization at military installations, events, career fairs, conferences, and community partner engagements. Deliver presentations, briefings, and program overviews to diverse audiences, including command teams, employers, and community organizations. Identify new outreach opportunities and recommend engagement strategies based on regional needs and trends. Provide timely, accurate reports to the Sr. Director of Outreach & Community Engagement. Complete annual program-specific PII and technology training. Demonstrate the ability to work independently while still achieving required outcomes. Maintain professional communication with team members and management. Ensure all work is completed thoroughly and deadlines are met, including invoices, reports, meeting requirements, and other documentation or communication as required. Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School/GED. Must be located within driving distance to Dallas, TX and willing to travel up to 40% of the time. Must be willing to accept a flat, weekly pay rate of $720, and understand this is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Must have a valid real ID, passport, military ID, or other acceptable documentation for base access and travel. 1-3 years of experience in community outreach, client engagement, communications, or related fields. Preference for experience within the military community. Directly related volunteer experience will be considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable speaking with the public; strong listening and organizational skills. Technology: Zoom, MS Teams, MS Office Suite, G-Suite, and common social media platforms. CRM/ATS experience is a bonus. Eligible participants include Veterans, Transitioning Military personnel, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. Position Type:
