Master Craftsman. Site Manager. Design-Build Leader. Thomas Buckborough & Associates is seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to manage our construction jobs on-site. If you are a hands-on carpenter who can also manage budgets, supervise subcontractors, and handle material takeoffs, this is your opportunity. Key Responsibilities
Act as the on-site manager, representing the company to customers while performing high-level carpentry.
Site Management: Supervise and assign work to other carpenters and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to company policies.
Hands-On Craftsmanship: Perform remodeling framing, finish work, trim, siding, cabinet installation, and window/door installation.
Project Controls: Manage project budgets, understand plans/specs, and document change orders.
Logistics: Prepare and inspect material takeoffs and orders for accuracy.
Customer Service: Protect customer property and maintain a clean, safe job site daily.
Communication: Check in with the Production Manager daily to report progress and delays.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or similar role in residential remodeling.
Technical Skills: Experience in framing, finish, trims, siding, cabinet installation, baseboard, crown molding, and doors/windows.
Management: Ability to manage project budgets and supervise crews/subcontractors.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
Requirements: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
