Overview This role will lead the planning and implementation to achieve vertical start‑up of a biscuit and crackers production line. You will ensure our manufacturing strategy is executed effectively and build a high‑performing organization.

How You Will Contribute

Lead the Vertical Start‑Up Team to deliver successful CQV/TT&T. Coordinate activities with RDQ, Engineering, Planning and other cross‑functions. Create benchmark platforms with CBA plant and involve suppliers to align with the CQV plan including start‑up details.

Support the manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and engagement goals in line with the site business needs.

Create VSU & Lean project management culture within the team and engage cross‑functions for the start‑up activities.

Become familiar with the project and collect preliminary information to develop the start‑up plan, develop the team charter and establish team communication.

Start‑Up Implementation Strategy

Identify start‑up implementation strategy, obtain approval and begin developing startup plans.

Ensure that current operation assessment is developed and implemented.

Develop and use a process for change management and re‑application of learnings.

Develop and use an issue identification & resolution process.

Provide direction, consistency and focus.

Provide training and coaching on start‑up processes.

Define the project’s criteria and start‑up glide path and obtain approval from management.

Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for key equipment.

Build capability within the team on Global Standard CQV template and content.

Commissioning Plan

Success criteria are agreed (PQCDSM & VSU).

Pre‑Commissioning plan is developed.

CTPs/CTQs are identified and agreed within the team.

Duration of runs and products with all prerequisites are defined.

Build activity mapping matrix for pre‑commissioning & commissioning.

Qualification Plan

Success criteria are agreed (PQCDSM & VSU).

Duration of runs and products with all prerequisites are defined.

Build activity mapping matrix for qualification.

Evaluate site‑specific risks and initiate actions.

Attend Equipment & Quality FMEA.

Attend Site Acceptance Test (SAT).

Verification Plan

Success criteria are agreed (PQCDSM & VSU).

Duration of runs and products with all prerequisites are defined.

In Addition to the Execution Side

Training plan: Ensure that the TT&T plan is developed and follows Global Standards.

Hiring strategy for new line.

Clarify all roles and responsibilities to new operators/technicians in your line.

Support the Material Readiness Plan: Supplier(s) material quality and quantity plans are developed and aligned with start‑up requirements.

Develop Start‑Up Planning and Implementation schedules and resource allocation plan.

Develop and use Planning and Implementation measures and results reporting and align the project team on how vertical start‑up will be measured.

Develop and approve start‑up budget.

What You Will Bring

Manufacturing experience (process, continuous improvement, maintenance, line leadership roles, etc.).

Qualified on I2M / IIM Process.

Qualified on AM Step 3.

Capable of leading and influencing people at higher and lower levels.

Understand and trained on key pillars like IIM, AM and PM.

Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in the food manufacturing industry with TPM, 5S, integrated Lean 6‑Sigma tools and concepts.

Excellent communication (verbal & written).

Coaching and leadership skills in a team‑based environment.

Demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem solving and team building.

Strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.

Education / Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree within the food industry.

Job Specific Requirements

5 years or more of experience in food manufacturing or related industries/processes is preferred.

Experience in union‑labor is preferred.

Travel Requirements

25% travel might be needed (domestic & international to support project related activities such as FAT, MP workshops, etc.).

Work Schedule

Monday‑Friday.

Availability to work in different shifts as needed, including off‑shifts & weekends.

Salary and Benefits The base salary range for this position is $86,900 to $119,515; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
