Job Summary

The Senior Pricing Analyst will lead the development, execution, and governance of pricing strategy across both the brokerage and the asset-based divisions at J. Boren & Sons Enterprises. This individual will be responsible for ensuring competitive, profitable, and data-driven pricing decisions that align with company growth targets, customer expectations, and market conditions. Acting as the central point of pricing, the Senior Pricing Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to drive margin performance and long-term strategic positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement enterprise-wide pricing strategies that balance growth, margin, and competitiveness for brokerage and asset operations. Establish governance frameworks, controls, and pricing policies to ensure consistency, scalability, and profitability across all modes. Partner with senior leadership to shape bid strategy, contract negotiations, and long-term rate programs. Lead the development of spot, contract, and RFP pricing models. Oversee and manage vendor relationships associated with transactional and contractual pricing. Oversee quick-turn RFP processes to ensure responsiveness and alignment with market conditions. Lead data collection and analytics to monitor margin performance, win rates, and pricing accuracy. Produce executive reporting to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.

Required Skills/Abilities

3 to 5 years of experience in pricing role within brokerage/logistics. Strong understanding of brokerage market dynamics. Demonstrated success developing pricing models, RFP strategies, and profitability frameworks. Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, BI tools, and transportation management systems (Mcleod, MercuryGate, etc.) Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with proven ability to influence executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications/Certifications

Advanced knowledge of truckload, LTL, intermodal, and dedicated pricing structures Experience supporting enterprise level bids, network optimization, and long-term contract pricing Familiarity with dynamic pricing engines

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required 7+ years of logistics experience 3 to 5 years in a senior or lead pricing role supporting complex RFP’s and strategic customer engagements Proven experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership to drive pricing discipline and profitability

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods of time Regular use of computer, phone, and virtual meeting tools Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings and internal strategy sessions
