
Sales Operations Manager, ESS Solution Sales

Overview
The Sales Operations Manager will play a critical role in supporting the growth of our energy storage business by owning the sales process infrastructure, pipeline management, forecasting, pricing governance, CRM optimization, and cross-functional coordination between Sales, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy and operational execution, enabling the sales team to efficiently close deals for both standalone and hybrid (software + hardware) renewable energy storage projects. Responsibilities
Sales Process & Pipeline Management: Own and maintain end-to-end sales pipeline tracking (from lead to NTP/contract execution) for BESS projects. Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports to support sales performance tracking and forecasting. Build and manage dashboards for revenue projection, margin, and deal probability in CRM. Participate in ERP upgrades, patches, and configuration improvements as related to the sales data lifecycle. Contribute to documentation and SOPs related to ERP processes and data handling in the sales domain. Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as commercial lead for ERP/CRM integration, delivery schedules, and inventory planning. Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to align reporting requirements and improve data accuracy. Work closely with Product & Engineering on roadmap alignment and feature release planning. Interface with Legal for NDAs, MSAs, supply agreements, and project-level contract workflows. Pricing & Commercial Governance: Support preparation of quotes, pro forma models, term sheets, and commercial offer decks. Manage pricing database for BESS hardware, PCS, EMS, warranties, EPC cost adders, and O&M. Track cost curves and supply chain volatility (cells, racks, inverters, balance-of-system, logistics). Sales Enablement: Develop and maintain sales collateral, product briefs, proposal templates, and ROI calculators. Support RFP responses and coordinate deliverables across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Legal. Maintain master library of case studies, product certifications, safety data, and technical specs. Revenue Forecasting & Analytics: Own quarterly and annual sales forecast process for ESS business unit. Track bookings vs. targets by segment (utility, C&I, BTM, FTM, hybrid solar-plus-storage). Analyze win/loss ratios, pricing competitiveness, and channel performance. Provide executive-level reporting packages for leadership and board. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Energy, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, commercial management, or project finance within renewable energy, cleantech, or industrial technology. Direct experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar-plus-storage, or power systems (PCS/EMS) is a plus. Strong familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), commercial pipeline management, and revenue forecasting. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; ability to interpret IRR/LCOE/NPV scenarios. Advanced Microsoft Office skills required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook). Strong attention to detail, with proven problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Bilingual in English and Korean.
