Overview

3Strands Global Foundation (3SGF) is a mission-driven nonprofit working to Prevent, Empower, and Unite communities to end human trafficking. Guided by our Survivor Advisory Board, we take a survivor-informed, trauma-responsive, and data-driven approach to prevention education, direct services, and community engagement. 3SGF spans three core initiatives:

Prevention Education

– Equipping people of all ages with the knowledge and skills to recognize warning signs, build protective behaviors, and take action.

Direct Services

– Offering case management, education, and employment assistance to survivors and individuals at risk, including services through our drop-in center in Sacramento.

Community Engagement

– Mobilizing communities, hosting awareness events, and collaborating with policymakers to advance prevention-focused legislation.

Responsibilities

Assist in the coordination and production of community engagement events in the Sacramento area, including planning, logistics, and execution.

Lead the planning, project management, and execution of the foundation’s signature Annual Gala and other high-profile fundraising events.

Manage and maintain event inventory, storage, and supplies, ensuring all materials are available and organized for event production.

Design and manage annual small-dollar fundraising campaigns to broaden the foundation’s donor base.

Research, identify, and solicit corporate and community sponsorships for the 3Strands Global Foundation, building sponsorship proposals and pitch decks tailored to prospective partners.

Co-ordinate in-kind donations, including auction items, catering, and decor, to support event needs.

Recruit, train, and grow the foundation’s volunteer base, including building a volunteer training program to educate volunteers on the mission and trauma-informed practices.

Maintain a relational database system for tracking volunteer information, participation, and impact.

Represent the foundation at networking functions and business association meetings to cultivate new opportunities and share campaign content.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in business administration preferred.

2-3 years of events management and development experience.

Proficient with administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and file management.

Familiar with Google Docs, Monday.com, Canva, Office 365, and other marketing and finance software.

A valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; non-commute mileage is reimbursed at the standard IRS rate.

Preferred Strengths

Proven ability to manage and nurture relationships, build rapport, and instill hope.

Proven event planning experience for intimate or mid-sized mission-driven gatherings.

Strong networking and sponsorship solicitation skills.

Excellent project management, organizational, and detail-oriented abilities.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, QuickBooks Online, Canva, Google Workspace, Monday.com, and Slack.

Professional presentation and communication skills, with a high level of honesty and integrity.

Adaptability to a high-ambiguity environment, self-starter with strong time-management under deadline pressures.

Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to colleagues, clients, partners, and vendors.

Professional, respectful, inclusive, and welcoming approach toward diverse cultural, social, and professional backgrounds.

Willingness to travel within the Northern California Region; overnight travel rarely required.

How You’ll Work

Hybrid schedule; in office as needed for meetings, event preparation, administrative tasks, and set‑up.

Weekly check‑in with Supervisor, usually via Google Meet.
