
This role involves interacting with the public, interviewing potential complainants, preparing case files, and forwarding calls to appropriate staff. The position requires strong organizational skills, integrity, and sound judgment, as well as the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Responsibilities
Respond to inquiries regarding the filing of complaints.
Conduct interviews with complainants and analyze information.
Prepare investigative case files for review.
Send notices and interrogatories to relevant parties.
Provide excellent customer service via phone and in person.
Prepare monthly reports and assist with case jurisdiction analysis.
Draft motions like administrative dismissals and default orders.
Perform research to gather contact information for relevant parties.
Additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of administrative experience.
High School diploma or GED required.
Legal coursework or paralegal training preferred.
Knowledge of Indiana Civil Rights Law and Federal Civil Rights Laws is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
