Overview

Provide direct oversight, direction, and assistance for civil rights reporting program. Responsibilities

Provide direct oversight, direction, and assistance for civil rights reporting program. Ensure contractors and consultants comply with contract provisions for equal employment, training, and Title requirements. Conduct site audits regularly to monitor and ensure subrecipient and consultant compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations, including accessibility requirements. Provide Local Program Area with technical assistance to maintain contractual compliance. Perform in-depth Federal Compliance Reviews. Submit reports for documentation to Main Office as requested. Investigate complaints from contractors, subcontractors, and consultants. Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department\'s response to regional and statewide emergency situations. Minimum Qualifications

Non-Competitive:

Seven years of experience in the review, investigation, and/or evaluation of compliance with equal employment opportunity laws, rules and regulations; in the planning, development, implementation, and review of programs dealing with equal employment opportunity, human rights, affirmative action, minority business program coordination, and/or labor relations directly relating to affirmative action; or in the development and administration of programs designed to facilitate minority community access to employment or business opportunities in the public and private sector, including one year of experience at the supervisory level. A bachelor\'s degree may substitute for four years of the non-supervisory experience. A master\'s degree may substitute for one year of the non-supervisory experience. Additional Information

Additional Comments Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The salary range listed reflects the full range for this graded position. For new State employees appointed into graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
