We are seeking an Administrative Director – Emergency Services to oversee operations of the NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island Emergency Department. Under the guidance of the Vice President of Hospital Operations, Women and Children’s Services, the director will lead coordination with physicians, nursing, and administrative leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and effective communication across the department. Job Responsibilities

Lead the administrative oversight of the Emergency Department. Prepare and manage the annual operating budget, reviewing monthly financial reports and explaining variances. Develop and administer policies and procedures for Emergency Services, communicating changes to all staff. Participate in cost‑control activities and evaluate billing systems in collaboration with Finance. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and state, federal, and local regulations, maintaining required training and readiness. Implement and monitor a quality assurance program, reviewing services, documenting results, and reporting to QA meetings. Develop patient satisfaction initiatives, respond to complaints, and recommend improvements. Track operational, quality, and patient‑satisfaction metrics, producing reports for leadership. Attend meetings with EMS leadership to coordinate billing, strategic planning, capital equipment, and community programs. Additional Position Specific Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned to support the Emergency Services management team. Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Hospital Administration or related discipline. • Minimum 3–4 years of management experience in hospital operations, finance, or project management. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other common computer applications. • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range for this role of $111,252.50 – $191,910.58 annually, per New York state law on salary transparency. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and hospital need.
