About the Role: Trident Search are seeking a

Founding Sales Development Representative

to join our team and help build the outbound motion from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to be the

first SDR

at a growing startup, work directly with the founders and sales leadership, and play a key role in shaping the go-to-market strategy. If you’re energized by ambiguity, love talking to customers, and want an opportunity to fast track in to an AE role once you've proven yourself this role is for you! What You’ll Do

Own outbound prospecting across email, phone, LinkedIn, and creative channels Research and identify high-quality target accounts and buyers Book qualified meetings for Account Executives / founders Help define and iterate on messaging, sequences, and ICPs Maintain clean and accurate CRM data Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product to share customer insights Experiment constantly — test new tools, scripts, and approaches Help build the foundation for future SDR hires (playbooks, best practices) What We’re Looking For

0–3 years of experience in sales, SDR/BDR, recruiting, or another quota-driven role Strong communication skills — confident on the phone and concise in writing High energy, resilience, and comfort with rejection Curiosity about customers and willingness to learn fast Organized, self-directed, and proactive Based in or able to commute to New York City a few times a week. Startup mindset: adaptable, scrappy, and excited to build from zero Experience within a Cybersecurity vendor Experience selling to Mid-Market and Enterprise customers Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach, or Salesloft If this role sounds like you please apply directly or reach out to me to discuss in more detail.
