POSITION DETAILS

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Development and Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions and Recruitment provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. The Director plays a key role in advancing the College’s enrollment goals and ensuring a seamless admissions experience for prospective students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversees admissions operations, ensuring ethical, efficient, and transparent processes, while leveraging technology and CRM platforms to enhance applicant experience and staff productivity.
Designs and implements comprehensive recruitment and outreach strategies to attract and enroll a diverse student body.
Develops enrollment projections, analyzes trends, and prepares reports to inform institutional planning and decision-making.
Oversees the creation and dissemination of recruitment publications, digital content, and marketing campaigns.
Ensures compliance with University, City, State, and federal policies and regulations related to admissions and enrollment.
Oversees the Designated School Official (DSO) for international student visa processing and liaises with federal immigration agencies.
Leads the integration and effective use of technology, including student information systems such as CUNYfirst, to enhance admissions operations.
Manages CRM platforms to support enrollment and retention, including EAB Navigate for continuing student engagement and Slate CRM for onboarding new students.
Coordinates admissions activities with related offices, including Registrar, Financial Aid, Testing, Counseling, and Academic Affairs.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates admissions staff; fosters professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.
Supports enrollment in special programs such as College Now, CUNY Start, and CLIP.
Experience designing and evaluating recruitment events and initiatives, both in-person and virtual, to engage prospective students throughout the admissions funnel.
Promotes equity, access, and inclusion in all recruitment and admissions initiatives.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Deans and/or Vice President of Student Development & Enrollment Management
Essential duties require on-campus presence/in-person work.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required. The following qualifications are preferred: Master’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field.
At least eight years of progressive experience in admissions and recruitment within higher education.
Five years of supervisory experience managing professional staff and large teams.
Extensive experience with CRM and admissions management systems, particularly Slate, and the ability to optimize business processes for efficiency and service excellence; Preferred proficiency in CUNYfirst.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively represent the institution to internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Evaluates and reports outcomes; uses information in statistical, fiscal, and other reports to make improvements to the recruiting process
