RESPONSIBLE OUTCOMES Responsible for resident engagement and proactive family relationship support so that residents are mentally stimulated and engaged, families feel heard on quality‑of‑life matters, and the community’s reputation and referrals are strengthened without overstepping operational or care decisions.
The primary outcomes of this role are:
Resident engagement:
Residents are mentally stimulated and regularly participating in meaningful activities and social engagement.
Family emotional experience:
Families feel emotionally supported, welcomed, and positively connected to the community on non‑clinical, non‑operational matters.
Positive community presence:
The community maintains a visible, positive public presence through outreach, events, and relationships.
Reputation and goodwill:
The community is spoken about positively by families, visitors, and partners, supporting word‑of‑mouth referrals.
Effective handoff of concerns:
Any concerns beyond minor quality‑of‑life issues are clearly identified and promptly escalated to Community Director
SUCCESS INDICATORS Success in this role occurs when the following are consistently true:
Family sentiment:
Families provide positive feedback regarding communication, engagement, and overall experience, with few recurring concerns.
Resident engagement:
Residents are regularly participating in activities appropriate to their abilities and interests, with minimal disengagement or isolation.
Move‑in adjustment:
New residents and families report a positive first‑week experience with no repeated quality‑of‑life complaints.
Community reputation:
The community maintains a positive public presence, reflected through attendance at events, community relationships, and word‑of‑mouth goodwill.
Effective escalation:
Concerns are surfaced early and escalated appropriately without Activities Director attempting to resolve operational or care issues independently.
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES is responsible for ensuring the following occur consistently each week:
Resident activities and engagement:
A structured activities calendar is planned and executed that promotes mental stimulation, social connection, and resident participation.
Quality‑of‑life monitoring:
Food, activities, and common‑area experiences meet reasonable resident and family expectations, with trends or concerns surfaced early.
Move‑in experience support:
New residents and families receive proactive, non‑clinical check‑ins during the first week to ensure comfort and emotional adjustment, with any concerns escalated appropriately. Family relationship building:
Families receive routine, proactive outreach focused on trust, reassurance, and connection, without addressing clinical, staffing, or operational decisions.
Issue identification and handoff:
Repeated concerns or dissatisfaction are identified quickly and escalated to Community Director rather than being independently resolved.
