
About the Role
In this position, you'll work as part of our collaborative Admin team that handles everything from daily operations to human resources and billing. The person in this role will be responsible for keeping a pulse on the financial performance of the firm, while being able to contextualize it for leadership. This person will also be responsible for overseeing the billing cadence, processes, and output of our accounting team. This role will report to the principals, and work in tandem with the Director of Practice. Responsibilities
Management and analysis of all business-related financials:
Banking administration and reconciliations Month-end, week-end, and year-end reporting Operational budget Business taxes and incentives
Oversight of all billing and accounting work, and the staff responsible for the following tasks:
Accounts Receivable:
AR: Client invoicing AR: Subconsultant Invoices AR: Expenses AR: Tracking and management
Accounts Payable:
AP: Tracking and management AP: business-related vendors AP: Credit Card Management AP: benefits-related vendors
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, finance management, or business operations Previous experience in the AEC, government contracting, or similar professional services industry preferred CPA license or MBA degree preferred High level of comfort with using the Google Workspace Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) and Slack Experience with using ERP systems, and in particular BQE CORE, a plus Proven track record of balancing many responsibilities Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and coordinate Ability to work alongside many different internal and external teams Capable of providing leadership to other team members Ability to see “the big picture” Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent reading and writing skills On time, attentive, and responsible Benefits
