Senior Interior Designer Peacock + Lewis Architects and Planners is searching for an experienced and accredited Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team at our Naples, Fla., office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing high‑end private club and hospitality spaces, leading projects from concept to completion, and managing client relationships. The individual will also lead a team of designers in the development and execution of complex interior design projects including preparing and developing drawings, models, images, and materials related to the design. This role requires a deep understanding of design principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the interior design process from concept development through installation, ensuring design integrity and client satisfaction.
Create and present design concepts, mood boards, material selections, and detailed drawings. Incorporate client feedback and refine designs as necessary.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions.
Prepare and oversee the production of detailed construction documents, specifications, and schedules. Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Develop project budgets and timelines, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering their professional growth and development.
Manage the selection, sourcing, and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and materials, ensuring quality and suitability for each project.
Oversee the installation process, conducting site visits to ensure the design vision is realized and that quality standards are met.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
NCIDQ certification or equivalent accreditation is required.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing private club, hospitality, residential or commercial projects.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or a related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas to clients and team members.
Strong aesthetic sense, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for innovative design.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, with experience leading cross‑functional teams.
