
Digital Marketing Manager, Lifecycle & Automation

We are working with a well-established, mission-driven organization to hire a
Digital Marketing Manager
focused on email lifecycle, personalization, and marketing automation.
This is not a traditional generalist role.
This person will own how users are segmented, nurtured, retained, and re-engaged across digital channels. This role will have 1 direct, the company will require a hybrid 3 day in-office schedule in Chicago.
Digital Marketing Manager Responsibilities
Building and executing end-to-end email and lifecycle campaigns (acquisition, nurture, retention, reactivation)
Developing advanced segmentation and personalization strategies based on user behavior and data
Managing automated, triggered, and drip campaigns using enterprise-level marketing automation tools
Partnering cross-functionally with content, product, analytics, and web teams
Pulling, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance (GA4, automation platforms, dashboards)
Optimizing campaigns through testing and data-driven insights
Managing and mentoring 1 direct report
Digital Marketing Manager Requirements
5+ years of experience in digital marketing with a strong email/lifecycle focus
Hands‑on experience with Marketo and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, personalization, and automation
Comfortable working with HTML and CRM-connected environments
Ability to independently analyze data and translate insights into action
Thrives in a structured, detail-oriented, review-driven environment
Open to B2C or B2B backgrounds; industry experience is flexible
This role has a budgeted salary of $100k‑$110k with potential 5% yearly bonus along with health, dental and vision benefits.
