Save Job

Overview Velvet is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Production & Digital Asset Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our visual content. This is a unique, hybrid role that sits at the intersection of creative production, e-commerce operations, and digital asset management.

You will be responsible for the logistical planning of all photo and AI shoots, managing the high-energy environment of production days, and ensuring that every pixel captured is tagged, retouched, and seamlessly integrated into our e-commerce and wholesale platforms. The ideal candidate is a logistical mastermind who isn\u2019t afraid to jump into art direction or perform hands-on graphic edits to keep the brand moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Shoot Production (Pre & On-Set)

Planning: Own the production calendar for lookbooks, e-commerce, and AI shoots. Align priorities with Merchandising, Product Development (PD), and Marketing.

Coordination: Source locations, book studios, and manage talent (models, photographers, HMU, stylists). Handle all sample logistics and call sheets.

On-Set Management: Act as the primary point of contact during shoots. Track live progress against shot lists, manage the schedule, and perform quality control for fit and styling.

Creative Support: Step in as "Shoot Jack" to provide art direction for smaller shoots and ensure the brand "vibe" is maintained.

Ingestion & Tagging: Import all assets into our central library (Canto). Maintain a rigorous tagging system by style number, season, and channel to ensure 100% searchability.

Editing: Perform in-house "light" retouching (cropping, blemish removal, exposure tweaks) and coordinate complex jobs with external vendors.

AI Integration: Run or coordinate AI beauty and fabric filters on studio batches, ensuring results align with visual guidelines.

Color Accuracy: Oversee color matching to ensure digital images reflect true fabric colors and manage the creation of color-swapped assets.

E-Commerce & Wholesale Excellence

Site Auditing: Regularly audit the website to identify missing views, colorways, or outdated imagery.

Digital Merchandising: Crop and format images to specific e-com/PDP specs and coordinate uploads to Shopify or relevant CMS platforms.

Wholesale Support: Package and deliver high-quality image bundles for JOOR and wholesale partners, fulfilling custom requests as needed.

Systems, Training & Improvement

Library Maintenance: Keep the asset library clean and archived. Create SOPs and video guides to train team members on how to find and use assets.

Process Optimization: Constantly refine workflows to eliminate bottlenecks in tagging, vendor delays, or search issues.

Qualifications

Location: Must be based in Los Angeles.

Experience: Proven experience in Apparel Production

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Graphic Design and image editing (Adobe Creative Suite).

Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems (e.g., Canto) and e-com platforms (e.g., Shopify).

Comfort with (or high interest in) AI-driven image tools and workflows.

Soft Skills: Strong project management skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent cross-functional communication.
