Description WDAY , the number #1 station located in the Fargo, ND-Moorhead, MN metro area, broadcasts across the entire state of North Dakota, Western Minnesota, and Eastern South Dakota. WDAY is an award-winning station, taking home multiple Emmy awards as well as regional and national Edward R Murrow awards in recent years. Summary A Broadcast Multimedia Journalist researches, writes, and delivers compelling stories across multiple platforms, including live and breaking news coverage. This role involves shooting and editing video, conducting interviews, and reporting on news and sports as they unfold. The journalist may also serve as a fill-in anchor for both news and sports broadcasts as needed.

Essential Functions

Write stories and conduct interviews on assigned topics.

Shoot and edit video and edit stories for newscasts.

Live reporting, as well as reporting on breaking news and sports stories as they happen.

Act as a fill-in anchor for both news and sports

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or a related field preferred, but not required.

Exceptional written, communication, and organizational skills. .

Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.

Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by company.

Expected compensation for this role is between $36,000 and $40,000/year, based on qualifications and experience.
