Description Part-time 25 hours per week
Scope of Work Coordinate the music program at St. Luke Church (SLC), directing and supporting a transition of the music ministry to a more current, blended style of worship while encouraging the growth of faith through music and the enhancement of the spoken Word for our congregation and the surrounding community.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
A person of deep faith, committed to God's church, who sees the dignity in all people as children of God and having a positive perspective and enthusiasm for music in the faith.
Certificate or Degree in Music or previous experience in musical performance, choir directing and comfort in leading both children and adults.
Musical skills and familiarity with various instruments
Essential Skills
Expertise in the use of technology to enhance musical worship experiences for the congregation. An appreciation for and desire to use current praise music in worship.
Interpersonal skills to guide, teach and encourage strong musical participation from the congregation.
Organizational & communication skills including working with various personalities and technologies.
