
Responsibilities
Develop, edit, and format technical, functional, and project documentation across all BIO divisions.
Create planning documents, release notes, SOPs, and end-user guides aligned with DOI standards.
Perform change management documentation using BIO's internal tools (e.g., VersionOne), including tracking, updating, and reporting changes.
Create visual materials (diagrams, charts, workflows) using Visio, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
Maintain and customize VersionOne workflows for BIO project tracking and change control.
Generate internal and user-facing reports through VersionOne, Google Suite, and Tableau.
Collaborate with project managers, developers, and system owners to translate complex SAP and BI system updates into clear user documentation.
Support continuous improvement of documentation processes and maintain centralized knowledge repositories.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience: 6 years as a technical writer or documentation specialist in IT or federal environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and Google Workspace tools.
Experience working with change management documentation tools such as VersionOne and knowledge of BIO change tracking processes.
Familiarity with SAP environments and ability to understand system updates for documentation purposes.
Strong attention to detail, consistency, and clarity in written materials.
Experience working with DOI
Ability to bridge technical and non-technical communication effectively for diverse audiences.
