Cold-Formed Steel Truss Designer
to become an integral part of our expanding team. The right candidate will be pivotal in creating precise, code-compliant truss and framing designs for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects. We value attention to detail, teamwork, and proficiency with design software tailored to light-gauge steel systems. The selected individual will have opportunities for career advancement into a design manager position. Key Responsibilities: Design and detail
CFS trusses and framing systems
for various building types. Interpret architectural and structural drawings to deliver effective and innovative design solutions. Utilize design software to produce accurate layouts and shop drawings. Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure that design intent is achieved and project specifications are met. Optimize material usage while maintaining structural integrity and adherence to codes. Make design revisions based on client feedback, engineering insights, or on-site challenges. Coordinate with production and installation teams to address any constructability concerns. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in
CFS truss or framing design
(experience in light-gauge steel is essential). Proficiency in key design and drafting tools, with
ALPINE software preferred
(e.g.,
FRAMECAD, MWF, Revit, AutoCAD ). Strong knowledge of
IBC ,
ASTM , and relevant building codes and standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents effectively. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Experience focused on
