Position Summary
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Salesforce Solution Architect to spearhead the design and execution of scalable and robust Salesforce solutions. This influential role melds technical acumen with strategic insight to synchronize technology with business objectives and Salesforce best practices. As a trusted advisor, you'll work closely with internal teams and external clients, helping to define requirements and shape innovative solutions. This position belongs to a series of roles with increasing levels of responsibility and skill. The exact title and pay grade will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure architectural governance and compliance, contributing to defining principles and standards. Participate in solution architecture reviews to confirm adherence to framework.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure alignment between solutions and business objectives.
Evaluate and select suitable technologies, frameworks, and platforms for projects.
Take a proactive approach in assessing technology trends and their impacts, contributing to vendor evaluations.
Lead the design and development of comprehensive solutions that fulfill business requirements.
Interpret and translate business and technical needs into coherent solution designs.
Translate requirements into architectural blueprints, working with product owners to define integration methods, ensuring seamless connectivity of components.
Guide and support development teams throughout the implementation phase. Oversee architecture for a wide range of projects and create roadmaps for future portfolio evolution.
Drive the architecture and design for Salesforce implementations across multiple projects or significant initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing strategic insights and mentorship to Salesforce professionals.
Conduct discovery sessions and evaluations of clients' existing Salesforce use; generate findings reports, solution roadmaps, and actionable recommendations.
Engage with stakeholders to clarify, define, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
Create prototypes and proofs of concept to validate ideas and guide project design.
Design and document robust data models and secure, scalable solutions across Salesforce clouds, including Sales, Service, Experience, and Manufacturing Cloud.
Oversee configuration, testing, quality assurance, deployment, and release management activities.
Assist in the development of user stories, ensuring that success criteria are well-defined and documented.
Participate in solution evaluations and propose architectural and performance enhancements.
Act as a release manager for Salesforce environments, overseeing deployments and ensuring alignment with DevOps best practices.
Lead or assist in project planning, scoping, and estimating activities alongside cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant IT experience, including at least two (2) years of architecture experience, is essential.
Salesforce Solution Architecture Track certifications are preferred.
Extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, Visualforce, and Lightning Components (LWC) is required.
Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud and Manufacturing Cloud is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD processes is preferred.
Experience in leading large-scale CRM or Member Services implementations, including data migration and integration, is preferred.
Experience in the oil and gas industry is a bonus.
