Job Summary

Leads adoption of and adherence to the Reliability and Maintainability Roadmap to drive asset effectiveness while fostering a proactive maintenance culture. Works directly with plant maintenance managers to drive improvement of functional skills and capabilities throughout each organization. Develops and utilizes key performance indicators to qualify and report asset performances. Also leads a team of predictive analysts that utilize tools and methods such as remote monitoring and artificial intelligence monitoring to detect equipment issues prior to failure. This team includes reliability resources that represent a center of excellence for standardized best practice while ensuring application of these practices across the enterprise. In addition to the 10+ direct reliability and maintainability direct reports, the Director will have dotted line responsibility for all plant maintenance managers and reliability engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Drives skills gap identification so that training and development resources can be offered for gap closure.

Develops maintenance workflows and ensures plants are utilizing these workflows to optimize efficiency.

Participates in functional auditing and reports audit and key indicator results to ensure Operations leadership is aware and understanding of plant performances.

Ensures plant planning and scheduling processes result in efficient and proactive environments. Designs and develops programs and systems to improve the effectiveness of maintenance operations, ensuring that processes are optimized for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Works directly with plant and corporate reliability resources to optimize preventive maintenance activities.

Partners with Operations team members to co-lead shop floor autonomous development opportunities. Ensures compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies, overseeing the implementation of processes and procedures that guarantee maintenance systems meet safety, legal, and operational standards.

Leads and collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT departments, to design and integrate maintenance systems that align with organizational needs and technological advancements.

Stays abreast of functional best practices and advises senior management on these practices and emerging trends that will contribute to the development of long-term maintenance strategies and solutions.

Fosters a culture of safety and quality within the maintenance function, ensuring that all activities adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance measures while maintaining high operational standards.

Required Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

Specialized Degree: Engineering

Years of Experience: 8-11 Years

Field of Expertise: Maintenance Leadership/Supervision and Industrial Manufacturing

Preferred Education & Experience

Specialized Degree: Engineering or Business Administration

Licenses/Certificates: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)

Years of Experience: 12-14 Years
