Description

Advantage Federal Credit Union is a community focused financial institution serving our members with integrity, care and personalized service. We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions for our organization of approximately 100 employees. The role is ideal for a hands-on HR leader who enjoys working closely with leadership and staff in a collaborative environment.

Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the credit union’s mission, culture, and business goals. This role oversees all aspects, including employee relations, talent management, compensation, benefits compliance, affirmative action and performance management. The salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership on all HR matters.

Oversee employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary process.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.

Manage compensation, benefits and back up for payroll.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

8-10 years of similar or related experience.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field desired.

HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) a plus.

Experience working in a small to mid-sized organization preferred.

Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
