Inside Sales
Inside Sales assists with general administration tasks in support of management and the sales team. The Inside Sales authors and prepares quotes for prospective customers, and generates, maintains, and updates sales reports and prospective client lists. Essential duties and responsibilities include providing accurate price quotes for the cost of homes and options, communicating primarily through phone calls and e-mail in creating sales quotes, and communicating in person by phone calls and e-mail with members of the sales department and with other departments within the factory to facilitate the home building process. The Inside Sales will assist with sales support, including maintaining support tools such as catalogs, digital content, sales samples, pricing sheets, and merchandising provided by Palm Harbor Homes and distributed to customers. The Inside Sales works full time at the manufacturing center sales office and may be tasked with providing tours of the factory to prospective customers. Knowledge of the homes design and construction is needed to complete the tasks as assigned. The Inside Sales needs to demonstrate a good work ethic based on principles of honesty and integrity. They will read and interpret order forms, home floor plans and elevations and communicate orally or in written form with co-workers, internal and external customers. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma with relevant experience, effective communication skills, both written and verbal, detail-oriented, planning/organizational skills, adaptability, problem-solving skills, confidence to ask questions, and the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages. Preferred qualifications include an associate's degree or higher education, prior inside sales experience and/or customer service, working familiarity with MS-Office Suite especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, and familiarity with web-based SQL databases.
