
Data Entry Assistant / File Clerk
Join our payroll team as a detail-oriented File Clerk / Data Entry Assistant for a temporary assignment lasting 13 months. This role involves supporting the payroll section of the finance team by organizing documents, entering data, and completing basic administrative tasks. We are looking for someone who is dependable, accurate, and able to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information. Responsibilities: Organize, file, and maintain digital and physical financial documents. Perform accurate data entry into Excel and internal databases. Scan, upload, and label invoices, statements, and other financial records. Assist with reconciling document batches and verifying data for accuracy. Maintain orderly filing systems and ensure documents are easily accessible. Support the finance team with general administrative tasks. Retrieve files and documentation for auditors or internal staff upon request. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times. Essential Skills: Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Excellent typing skills and basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PDFs). Ability to stay organized and manage repetitive tasks efficiently. Dependable and able to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Prior experience in data entry, filing, or administrative support is preferred. Friendly demeanor and positive attitude. Customer service experience. Work Environment: The work environment is supportive and family-like. The position is onsite for 5 days a week, from 9am to 5pm, with potential adjustments to 8am to 4pm. There is no possibility to be considered for permanent employment. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Frederick, MD. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
