
Technical Writer
GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Colorado Springs, CO looking to add a Technical Writer to their team. The role is a
6-month contract
position with the possibility of extension or full-time conversion.
*Hybrid - onsite 5 days every 2-week period* Responsibilities Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements. Research, analyze, and author documentation topics. Edit documents for convention and style to maintain proper look and feel in all documentation. Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the documentation and review processes. Contribute to department internal documentation and procedures. Work with both technical IT teams as well as business partners to evaluate processes and document accordingly. Qualifications
Ability to speak and write clearly, so that both technical and non-technical audiences can understand. Ability to describe complex processes clearly and concisely. Demonstrated eye for detail and consistency. Familiarity with writing style manuals; ability to organize and format material in accordance with a standardized format. Effective time-management skills; ability to prioritize, follow-through with tasks, juggle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Comfortable interviewing subject matter experts and receiving and giving feedback. Preferred qualifications
Working knowledge of Visio project management tool for diagraming. Experience with topic-based writing and technical documentation. Experience working in enterprise software. Basic familiarity with the agile software development process.
