
About the role
As Marketing & Events Specialist, you’ll be critical with ShipIn’s go-to-market efforts, helping shape how the company shows up in the industry, how prospects experience the brand, and how relationships are built digitally and face-to-face. This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience who is eager to grow within a high-performing, mission-driven organization.
You will work closely with senior leadership, sales, product, and customer success teams to execute integrated marketing initiatives and deliver high-impact events that position ShipIn as a trusted leader in maritime technology and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Execution & Brand Support
- Help bring integrated marketing campaigns to life across digital, social, email, and content channels.
- Create and refine high-quality assets, including presentations, one-pagers, newsletters, blog posts, and sales enablement materials.
- Own content calendars, social scheduling, and performance tracking to ensure consistent, high-impact execution.
- Work with external designers, agencies, and partners to deliver creative assets that reflect a modern, credible brand.
- Ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment across all client-facing materials.
Events Management
- Play a key role in executing high-impact industry events, including global conferences, speaking engagements, client dinners, happy hours, webinars, podcasts, and sponsored activations.
- Manage event logistics, including venue research, vendor coordination, swag production, guest communications, and on-site support.
- Track event budgets, timelines, and deliverables, and contribute to post-event reporting.
- Represent ShipIn in Boston and at select domestic and international events, helping build lasting relationships with customers and partners.
Cross-Functional Impact
- Partner closely with Sales, Business Development, and Revenue Operations to support lead generation, campaign follow-up, and event-sourced pipeline.
- Coordinate with product, sales, and CS to ensure marketing materials are accurate and aligned with current product offerings.
- Maintain clean, accurate CRM data (HubSpot experience is a significant plus) to support reporting and follow-up.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, events, or a related role, ideally within B2B technology or industrial sectors.
- You understand the fundamentals of digital marketing and how content, social, and events work together.
- You’ve supported or coordinated events and enjoy both the planning and the execution.
- You’re a strong writer and communicator who can adapt tone for different audiences
- You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple projects.
- You thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy building as you go.
- Familiarity with maritime is a plus, but curiosity and drive matter more.
- You’re comfortable using modern marketing tools and CRM systems (HubSpot experience is a plus).
