Border Patrol Officer Job Description

Duty Locations
- The Southwest Border including prioritized locations such as Presidio, Sanderson, Sierra Blanca and others
- Ongoing duty assignments may include other mission-critical locations across the United States
Typical Assignments Include:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions
- Interpreting tracks marks and physical evidence of illegal entry
