Hondros College of Nursing is seeking an Admissions Representative for our

Akron, OH

campus. This role is responsible for selectively screening, interviewing and enrolling prospective students and guiding them through the enrollment completion process.

Responsibilities

Conduct personal interviews to qualify prospective students and explain the academic programs at Hondros College of Nursing; advise on requirements to meet admissions criteria.

Act as a liaison with other campus departments to ensure efficient enrollment and high quality customer service.

Understand and apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the admissions department and the college.

Student Recruitment

Use approved marketing and recruiting tools to educate prospective students.

Apply an active listening and consultative approach to create a value proposition aligning prospective student needs with the college offerings.

Carefully assess all prospective students to ensure they meet admissions criteria.

Complete the applicant qualification process to determine eligibility by reviewing entrance examination scores.

Understand the college’s financing sources and convey basic program eligibility; refer students to financial aid as appropriate.

Ensure satisfactory enrollment agreements are completed, covering proof of education, licensure, test scores, transferable courses and other enrollment variables.

Participate as a team member of the admissions department, understanding team dynamics, rules and principles, and working diligently toward department plans and objectives.

Assist with on- and off‑campus recruiting events, e.g., information sessions, college/career fairs, campus‑based open houses, and industry update meetings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Three years of customer service and/or sales related experience preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to interact with a variety of individuals at various organizational levels.

Ability to identify and assess educational needs for prospective students and provide recommendations.

Ability to identify and resolve escalated issues or recommend solutions.

Ability to establish and meet deadlines.

Ability to interpret federal and state regulations and ensure compliance.
