The Benefits Specialist works collaboratively to provide a high-quality experience to employees at DBM Global and all its subsidiaries. The Benefits Specialist will assist in the day-to-day operation of all group benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life and disability, spending accounts and retirement plans. Partner closely with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure accurate and compliant benefits administration. Position Information

Regular Full Time– Exempt Core Responsibilities
Assist in the daily activities and administration of employee benefits programs. Respond to employee inquiries related to benefit plans, eligibility, enrollments, and claim issues in a timely and accurate manner. Perform detailed audit of carrier invoices and ensure timely payment processing. Ensure timely distribution and compliance of all required plan notices, disclosures, and participant communications in accordance with federal, state and plan sponsor requirements. Support annual compliance audits, including nondiscrimination testing, ACA data validation and reporting requirements. Actively participate in annual benefits renewals including data collection, plan design evaluation, and implementation planning. Support annual open enrollment through various phases including HRIS system updates, employee communications, vendor implementation and post enrollment audits. Monitor and resolve discrepancies in eligibility file feeds to benefit carriers to ensure accurate and timely enrollment transmission. Working knowledge of benefits compliance including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Section 125. Recommend and document process improvements of benefit administration workflows in coordination with human resources and payroll departments. Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Work Experience Candidate will have 7-10 years benefit/HR administration experience and certification in a related field such as Benefits or Human Resources. Experience can be substituted for two (2) years in benefit administration and a bachelor’s degree in related field. Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a Business or Human Resources related field is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in related field may substitute for experience. Specialized Knowledge
As outlined in the Core Competencies, an individual must have thorough knowledge and an advanced understanding of each competency outlined above in order to carry out the essential functions of this position. Specialized Knowledge is required in the following areas: Communicate and deal effectively with others; Ability to work as a team within Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting and management; Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality; Endure and perform repetitive tasks; Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of benefit plan designs. Knowledge of Company policies/procedures & benefit package; Knowledge, Understand and Comprehension of all pertinent federal and state regulations, compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, and DOL requirements; Organizational, planning, administration, and technical skills; Effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations; Understanding of accounting principles and fundamentals highly preferred. Software & Technology Position will require the frequent use and knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, Concur, Paycom and ADP. Work Environment
Position requires as many hours needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the functions and may require occasional evening and weekends.
