
CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR (SENIOR LEVEL)

Position Description The Contract Administrator provides support for the formation, administration, and closeout of assigned subcontracts on a given project.
Essential Functions
Assist with the prequalification of potential subcontractors
Apply knowledge of construction contracting best practices
Prepare and review contracts with subcontractors
Maintain files of all subcontracts for designated projects
Maintain correspondence files for subcontracts
Provide contract administration functions including maintaining records of scope changes, extra work requests, letters to/from contractor, etc.
Handle invoice review and payment
Provide project control with cost trends for subcontracts
Performs special projects as required
Requirements Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience in contracts administration
Knowledge of contractual language and terminology
Familiarity with insurance coverage principles for contracts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with word processing and spread sheet software
Basic knowledge of oil and gas industry, with engineering services for oil and gas pipeline projects a plus
Understanding of contract language with respect to project scope of work and client requirements/expectations

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Frequent sitting and operating a computer.
