Manage software licenses for major publishers (Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, Atlassian, Figma, Smartsheet, etc.)
Perform compliance audits, create software models and entitlements, and reconcile procurement data
Define and document SAM (Software Asset Management) processes and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for governance and lifecycle management
Create process documents and design process diagrams usingli>
Process standard and non-standard software requests; reclaim unused licenses and allocate them via publisher portals
Categorize products as free or paid through detailed research; if paid, coordinate with procurement for license purchase, then publish in the ServiceNow catalogue and create entitlements
Maintain the ServiceNow software catalogue
Execute license revocation procedures
Configure software models, contracts, and entitlements; utilize the License Workbench for dashboards and compliance tracking
Generate ELP (Effective License Position) reports and analyze usage trends for cost optimization
Collaborate with HR, procurement, IT teams, and external vendors to align software usage with policies
Drive automation and process improvements within ServiceNow SAM Pro
Prepare monthly SAM performance decks and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on best practices
Conduct and lead meetings with stakeholders to review SAM performance, compliance, and optimization initiatives
Maintain and track the SAM Action Item Tracker; prepare and circulate MoM (Minutes of Meeting) for governance
Initiate cost‑saving activities by reclaiming unused licenses, optimizing allocations, and reducing unnecessary software spend
Required Qualifications :
W2 employment only; no C2C (Corp‑to‑Corp) with third parties
Several years of experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) and ServiceNow SAM Pro
Experience in ServiceNow SAM Pro, specifically: License Workbench, dashboards, and reporting
ServiceNow SAM Reporting: ELP (Effective License Position), usage analysis, installation versus allocation tracking
Publisher License Models: Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, Atlassian, etc.
Audit and True‑Up (annual license reconciliation) experience; Microsoft MLS (Microsoft License Statement) report processing
Vendor coordination and procurement support
Process documentation and diagrams (Microsoft Visio); advanced Excel skills
Discovery data analysis using tools such as SCCM (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager), Qualys, and ACC (Adobe Admin Console)
