ELLE Decor is seeking an ambitious, ideas-driven Features Director to help shape the voice, narrative vision, and cultural relevance of one of the world’s leading design brands. This is a senior editorial leadership role for a creative editor with exceptional story sense and a passion for design, art, and the way we live now—across print, digital, social, and emerging platforms. Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Be Doing) Own and evolve the features strategy for ELLE Decor across print, digital, social, and emerging platforms, ensuring a cohesive and elevated editorial voice Conceive, assign, and edit feature packages, profiles, home tours, and cultural coverage that resonate with a global, design-savvy audience Partner closely with the Head of Content and digital leadership to develop multi-platform franchises, tentpoles, and highly engaging editorial rubrics Translate marquee print features into rich digital experiences while originating digital-first storytelling concepts Oversee and mentor a network of contributing writers and editors, providing rigorous line editing, structural guidance, and creative feedback Collaborate with photo, video, design, audience development, and social teams to deliver visually driven storytelling optimized for discovery and engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with influential voices in design, architecture, art, and culture, translating those connections into standout coverage Qualifications (What We’re Looking For) Demonstrated success conceiving and editing high-impact features across print and digital platforms; experience with social and emerging formats is a plus Exceptional editorial judgment with a refined eye for language, structure, visuals, and narrative flow Proven ability to manage contributors and collaborate cross-functionally with visual, digital, and audience teams Strong understanding of digital analytics and how insights can inform editorial strategy without compromising integrity Deep passion for interior design, architecture, art, fashion, and culture, with a global and inclusive perspective Excellent communication, organization, and project-management skills, with comfort juggling long-lead and real-time projects This role is based in New York City and operates on a hybrid schedule, with four days per week in the office Benefits (What We Offer) Work with the Best:

Enjoy competitive financial perks, including a 401(k) plan with a generous company match. The base salary for this role is between $116,000 - $135,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
