The Director, Global Learning Strategy Enablement is responsible for shaping and operationalizing the enterprise-wide learning strategy—ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, future workforce needs, and a coherent global learning ecosystem. This leader embeds a unified framework for strategy execution, operational excellence, and capability uplift across global learning teams. They provide the governance, insights, standards, and enabling tools required to drive consistency, strengthen decision-making, and ensure learning investments deliver measurable enterprise value.
Your day to day
Lead the development and continuous evolution of the global learning strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, workforce capability needs, and long‑term business direction.
Translate enterprise learning strategy into clear, mid‑term strategic roadmaps that articulate priorities, sequencing, and decision pathways for global learning teams.
Drive strategic planning cycles by integrating market intelligence, business insights, performance data, and learning ecosystem analytics to inform decision‑making and future investments.
Establish and govern strategy execution frameworks, including decision‑rights models, operating mechanisms, and standards that ensure cross‑regional alignment and strategic discipline.
Maintain an ecosystem‑wide perspective, anticipating interdependencies, mitigating fragmentation, and safeguarding a consistent, high‑quality learning experience across markets.
Translate enterprise priorities into actionable strategic guidance for regions, ensuring local relevance while upholding global standards and strategic intent.
Build and optimize the systems, tools, standards, and frameworks that support end‑to‑end learning lifecycle execution.
Partner closely with Shared Services, PMO, Technology, and Performance Consulting to embed consistent ways of working, aligned to IHG University operating models.
Build strong relationships with senior business leaders, HR, functional teams, and external partners to align learning strategy with enterprise ambitions.
Represent Global Learning Strategy & Enablement in executive forums, transformation initiatives, and cross‑functional planning sessions.
Lead forums, working groups, and decision‑making processes that connect strategy with on‑the‑ground learning needs.
Champion innovation in learning, including emerging technologies, capability models, measurement frameworks, and enablement practices.
Drive continuous improvement through insights, analytics, and feedback loops, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and quality across the learning ecosystem.
What we need from you
Master’s degree in Business, Education, Learning Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years in learning strategy, organizational development, or learning technology leadership
Proven leadership in global, matrixed environments; hospitality or multi‑unit operations
Demonstrated success evaluating, piloting, and scaling learning innovations with measurable impact
Strong analytical, executive communication, and cross‑functional influence skills
Travel – limited 10%
Location – Hybrid work structure: three (3) days a week in the ATLANTA office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K and other benefits to employees.
