Job Summary
Tatum has a 4‑6 week project for a
Real Estate Portfolio Fund Consultant - Excel Expert Modeling . The project consultant will work for a client that manages a Real Estate Fund and will overhaul the critical financial distribution model. The current model is complex, cumbersome, and highly inefficient due to deeply embedded, sophisticated formulas.
Location & Type Dallas, Texas – Contract – $65–$80 per hour – 8 to 5 work hours
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
10 years of relevant experience
5+ years of
Expert‑Level Excel Proficiency : Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, modeling best practices, data management, and optimization techniques.
Deep understanding of
Real Estate Fund Accounting , including distribution waterfall calculations.
Strong foundation in real‑estate fund accounting and exceptional analytical and Excel modeling capabilities.
Responsibilities
Model Optimization:
Dive into and analyze the existing complex Excel distribution model, identify, unwind, and simplify complicated formulas to improve model efficiency, speed, and ease of operation.
Data Analysis & Interpretation:
Extract, interpret, and present historical data related to investor profiles, fund performance, and other key metrics for current and potential investors.
Analytical Support:
Provide ad‑hoc analytical support and data interpretation to the team, focusing on the numbers and data‑driven insights.
Documentation:
Clearly document the revised model structure, formulas, and operation process for long‑term internal maintenance.
