The HR Business Partner (HRBP) role is responsible for promoting winning HR strategies throughout the organization and fostering an environment of continuous improvement by providing exceptional support in the areas of employee relations, performance management, associate engagement, and employee services.
Sarnova is the leading national specialty distributor of health care products in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Respiratory Markets and is the industry leader in Revenue Cycle Management within Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The company operates through several market-leading companies including Tri-anim Health Services, the largest specialty distributor of respiratory products, Bound Tree Medical, the largest supplier of EMS products, Cardio Partners, a full Sudden Cardiac Arrest Solution provider, and Digitech, the leader in EMS revenue cycle management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and employees to provide guidance and counsel on a variety of HR and business-related issues at both the strategic and tactical levels
Provide consultation, coaching, and training to managers on performance management, talent development, and employee relations
Implement HR best practices for key HR processes
Manage and resolve complex employee issues
Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
Work collaboratively with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, engagement, and retention
Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
Oversee performance appraisal process; train, advise, and develop management proficiency in alignment with organizational culture and drive for results
Proactively gather, interpret, and present metrics and analysis (performance, turnover, employee engagement, and other data) to business leaders to influence decisions. Identify trends, formulate recommendations, and execute solutions to address issues and drive desired outcomes
Actively contribute to strategic initiatives and systems to future proof the organization (e.g., culture and engagement, organizational analysis, talent assessment, succession planning, leadership development, workforce planning, innovative programming, etc.)
Offer guidance, implement communication plans, and develop employee engagement strategies to support business objectives
Manage compliance with federal and state requirements
Actively help manage Disability, FMLA, and ADA programs including engaging in the interactive process with associates, evaluating leave requests, and coaching management through processes and decisions
Provide support for integrating newly acquired companies
Assist the department and organization in any way needed to make Sarnova the Best!
Skills/Experience Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or similar field
7+ years of progressive, broad-based Human Resources experience, preferably involving robust consultation with management partners and the resolution of complete employee relations issues
HR certification preferred
Strong knowledge of core HR functions
Exceptional communication skills and ability to operate at all levels of the organization
Ability to problem solve and coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
Professionally able to challenge, influence, and align people operations with business strategy
Demonstrated strategic, critical, analytical, and innovative thinking skills
Customer service-minded with drive to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment
In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Able to maintain confidentiality and high-level of trust with employees and work with honesty and integrity in all decision making
