ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars and wants to contribute to a growing company. Inspectors serve as the company’s front line, ensuring customers receive the highest quality service through meticulous vehicle assessment. What you will do

Simplify and enhance the customer experience Conduct vehicle inspections at dealerships, auctions, & off‑lease locations to detect damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems Prepare and submit detailed condition reports and repair/replacement cost estimates Support sales teams with up‑sell and cross‑sell of services and products Build strong relationships with dealers through regular communication Travel to and from dealerships and homes to inspect, photograph, and list wholesale vehicles for auction Sign up independent dealerships to use the ACV Auctions platform Perform additional duties as assigned What you will need

1+ year experience in automotive repair (body, paint, mechanical) with customer service background Excellent written and verbal communication in English Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong problem‑solving skills and resourcefulness Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team Valid driver’s license and a reliable motor vehicle Proficiency with systems, software, and web‑based applications Physical ability to lift ≥25 lbs, stand, bend, and squat for extended periods Driving experience with both manual and automatic transmissions Visual acuity to identify small defects on vehicles Compensation

Starting rate of $18.50 per hour plus eligibility for ACV’s incentive compensation plan. Final compensation will be based on experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and legal requirements. Additional Information
