ACV Auctions seeks an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars and thrives in a customer‑facing role. Inspectors are the face of our company, explaining vehicle details to clients and ensuring top‑quality service. What You’ll Do
Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience Partner with a Territory Manager and Inspectors to conduct vehicle inspections at dealerships, auctions, and off‑lease locations Prepare and submit vehicle condition reports, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentation What You’ll Need
At least 1 year of experience in the automobile field (body, paint, and mechanical repair) with a customer service background Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods Problem‑solving aptitude and resourcefulness Success working independently with minimal supervision while collaborating in a team environment Excellent communication skills to understand customer needs and expectations Valid driver’s license and a registered, insured, and insured motor vehicle Knowledge of system capabilities and relevant software packages, including web‑based applications Physical ability to perform manual labor such as standing, lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, and squatting Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions Vision to identify small defects around and underneath vehicles Compensation
Starting at $19.00 per hour. Eligible for additional incentive compensation per ACV’s plan. Final pay determined by experience, skillset, location, market demands, and other factors permitted by law. Values
